u3 sandisk cruzer 16GB stick ntfs formatieren

Heute kam mein SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB 2.0 Flash Drive und da ich das U3 wirklich nicht benötige, wollte ich den mal schnell auf das Dateisystem NTFS formatieren.

Da steht ja auf der Verpackung: IDEAL FOR Video ..

Meine 12GB .mkv HD-Video Datei wollte der Stick wegen FAT32 nicht nehmen.

Alle Tips zu Windows XP und einfach zu konvertieren mit dem befehl convert e: /FS:NTFS nachdem man im Gerätemanager für den USB Stick einstellt “Für Leistung optimieren” haben nicht geholfen, er meldet sich als removable CD Drive an und auch die vorhandenen Dateien lassen sich nicht löschen.

Nun gibt’s das ‘HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool’, welches zwar einen Teil erfolgreich auf NTFS convertiert hat, der U3 (CD)-Teil meldete sich jedoch noch immer als zusätzlicher Drive an.. !?

Letztendlich kam ich auf der SanDisk Seite zu dem ‘Deinstallationsprogramm für U3 Launchpad’, hier: Deinstallationsprogramm für U3 Launchpad

Das löscht den ganzen U3 Kram und formatiert den Cruzer USB Stick auf FAT32. Nun geht es unter XP oder mit dem HP-Tool den Stick auf NTFS zu konvertieren.
