sorry for late reply, made some holiday in Istanbul ..
if that plugin called security scan needs more memory than your server (provider) allows you to use, there is not much to do.
There are more other plugins you could try,
I normally open the database with phpMyAdmin and export the whole thing to my PC if I need just a backup of one site.
For regular backups of all databases on the server (different sites) I use MySQLDumper, a software you can install on the server.
MySQLDumper is a tool for backing up MySQL databases.
These backups I get via email attachment per each site.
